Ms. Hong joined Demetriou, Del Guercio, Springer & Francis, LLP as an associate attorney in 2006. Ms. Hong’s areas of litigation practice includes products liability, complex toxic torts, environmental indemnity and contribution, contract disputes, general business, property rights, land use, CEQA, eminent domain, landlord-tenant. Ms. Hong also maintains solid transactional practice in complex real estate and business matters.
Ms. Hong routinely makes court appearances, researches, drafts and argues various pleadings and motions, manages extensive discovery, defends and takes depositions of key witnesses, drafts settlement and trial briefs. Ms. Hong also successfully negotiates and obtains settlements for clients.
The wealth of experience as a litigator lends insight as Ms. Hong represents clients in real property sale, lease and development transactions with complex environmental, zoning and land use issues. Ms. Hong negotiates and drafts various multifaceted and intricate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, lease, indemnity and contribution agreements, settlements, releases, licenses, easement agreements and CC&R’s. Moreover, Ms. Hong advises clients in organizing and operating various business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships.
Prior to joining Demetriou, Del Guercio, Springer & Francis, LLP, Ms. Hong served first as a judicial intern and later as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable S. James Otero, Judge of the United States District Court, where she performed extensive research, analyzed various state and federal laws, and drafted orders and bench memoranda.
